Welcome to our first edition of the digital CITSCA prompt.
2017 saw Francis Wong step down from his role as chairman and our long-serving Public officer Barry Salter retire form the position. On behalf of the CITSCA organisation, I would like to thank both Barry and Francis for the dedication and contribution to the organisation.
The new board was elected this year and I am very excited to be working with professor Adrian Vicary, Teresita Sarmiento, Olga Kostic and Matthew Garcia. The first question we wanted to address was what is CITSCA purpose? CITSCA has evolved over the years with the likes of technology and the reach of the internet making it simpler to do business. The board assembled a group of astute business people from government, private and public sectors to address the issue. We were led on the day by Professor Susan Freeman who engaged and extracted the very best out of the group. I am excited to say that we received some very clear messages and are now working on a strategic document that will add value to our members, facilitate trade and investment into SA, Educate and contribute to the economy of SA. I look forward to delivering our strategic plan early in 2018.
On behalf of the board, I would like to wish you and your families a very merry Christmas and I look forward to sharing with you a prosperous 2018.
